Try changing the question

Abstract watercolor of stacked blue books or notebooks, with a glowing orange center and beige background.

There are notebooks many of us keep, hidden away somewhere.

Inside are the big questions. We rewrite them for years, in the same patient handwriting. We add a pro, cross out a con. We wait for the page to tell us something.

Those questions get answered only one piece at a time, inside the days.

A phone call made instead of put off. Two days in a city that had been calling to you. An evening with someone you barely know. An attempt that goes wrong and leaves you lighter than before.

Every time, you come back with something the notebook never held.

An unexpected discomfort.

A joy that arrived sideways.

A name that wasn't there before.

The big questions are heavy. No one can lift them all at once. They crush us, if we look at them like that, all in one block.

The small questions fit in your pocket. What can I do right now.

One, then another.

And the big questions, slowly, change shape. They grow sharper. Sometimes they answer themselves, right when you stop staring at them.

The notebooks we can leave in a drawer. Every so often, we'll open them again.

How often do we circle the same questions, without ever really lifting them. Coaching can help too, by looking at them from a different angle, together. If you'd like to try, reach out for a free exploratory session.
